sink swap saga: a plumbing tale gone sideways
Thought I'd tackle the sink myself - seemed simple enough, right? Well, halfway through, I'm sitting there with water dripping down my elbow, staring at instructions that might as well be written in ancient runes. Now there's a suspicious puddle forming, and I'm pretty sure the pipe is mocking me. Anyone else have a DIY plumbing adventure turn into an accidental comedy sketch?

Been there myself - thought swapping out the faucet would be a breeze, until I ended up soaked and confused. Turns out plumbing has its own secret language, and YouTube makes everything look deceptively easy. Now whenever I pass the plumbing aisle, I'm tempted to try again... but honestly, I'm still recovering from the last fiasco. Maybe some tasks are better left to the pros?
For anyone who's been tempted to try a faucet swap again after a rough first attempt, what makes you want to give it another try, and what would tip you toward calling a pro?
I’d be more willing to try again if I could follow the steps calmly and knew how to shut the water off first. If it kept leaking after I stopped, or I couldn’t tell whether a connection was secure, I’d call a plumber rather than guess and risk making the puddle bigger.
