anyone tackled putting in a pedestal sink solo?
I'm halfway through redoing my tiny bathroom and decided a pedestal sink would be a great space saver. But now I'm kinda stuck wondering if I bit off more than I can chew. Balancing that heavy porcelain basin while lining up plumbing seems like a two-person job, you know? Has anyone here managed to get one installed alone, or should I just call in backup before I break something expensive?

I’d lean toward getting a helper for the positioning, even if you’re comfortable with the plumbing. The awkward part seems to be keeping a heavy porcelain basin steady while you line everything up; a second pair of hands could make that moment much less risky. Is the lift and alignment what’s giving you pause, or is there another part of the install you’re unsure about?
That split could work well: someone comfortable with the plumbing might do the preparation solo, then wait for a helper just to steady and position the basin while the connections are lined up. It keeps the extra pair of hands focused on the awkward, high-risk moment rather than requiring them for the whole job.
