I just learned something kinda cool the other day - did you guys know that wrapping plumber's tape clockwise around pipe threads actually helps prevent leaks? I mean, I always just wrapped it randomly, never thought direction mattered much, but apparently it does. Little things like that can save a ton of headaches later on. Wondering if there's other small plumbing tricks or trivia people have stumbled across by accident...

- Interesting point, but honestly, I've stopped using plumber's tape altogether. Switched to pipe dope instead - less waste and seems more reliable. Anyone else tried it or am I alone on this...?
