Had a bit of a plumbing adventure last weekend, trying to fix a leaky pipe under the sink - yeah, fun times. Anyway, found out the hard way that not all adhesives are created equal. PVC cement worked wonders on plastic pipes, but was totally useless when I tried it on metal fittings (rookie mistake, I know). Ended up grabbing some epoxy putty from the hardware store which saved the day. Curious if anyone else has a go-to adhesive or hack for plumbing fixes?

Been there, done that... plumbing is definitely a trial-and-error thing. Haven't tried epoxy putty yet - sounds handy. Is it pretty easy to work with for beginners?
