Just saw this local news segment about a family who got sick because they hadn't swapped out their kitchen water filter in like...years. Apparently bacteria built up in there, and they didn't even realize it could happen. Honestly, I'm guilty of forgetting mine too. Makes me wonder how often people really do change theirs, cuz the recommended timeline seems kinda short (and expensive). Curious if people here stick to the guidelines or, you know, wing it.
