kitchen sink draining slow? here's a trick I learned
Had this annoying issue with my kitchen sink draining super slow, turns out dropping a handful of ice cubes and lemon peels down the disposal once a week keeps things flowing better. Anyone tried something similar or got another handy tip?

I’d treat ice and lemon peels as an occasional way to freshen the disposal, rather than a fix for a slow drain. For a simple routine, I’d prioritize running water while the disposal operates; it seems more directly useful for carrying food through. If the sink stays slow, that’s a separate problem to address rather than something to mask with a weekly ritual.
Does the sink drain slowly even when the disposal is off, or mainly when it’s running? That distinction could help show whether the weekly routine is addressing the disposal or just coinciding with a separate slow-drain issue.
If it drains slowly with the disposal off too, the weekly ice-and-peel routine may not be addressing the slow drain. If the slowdown happens mainly while the disposal is running, that points more toward an issue associated with disposal use, though it doesn’t identify the cause by itself.
