Plastic Vs. Tile-Ready Shower Bases: Which One's Less Hassle?

Honestly, I’m with you on the tile-ready bases being a pain. Last time I tried one, I spent more time double-checking my waterproofing than actually tiling. Plastic’s not perfect, but at least it doesn’t leave me second-guessing every step... unless I drop a hammer on it.

Yeah, I hear you. I’ve done both, and honestly, the peace of mind with a plastic base is hard to beat. Tile-ready looks great, but man, one tiny slip-up with waterproofing and you’re in for a world of trouble. At least with plastic, it’s pretty much set-and-forget... unless you’re really clumsy with tools, I guess.
