A clear cleanout only tells you what’s visible at that opening. I’d pay more attention to whether water emerges at the outlet during or after runoff, and whether it drains away about as promptly as usual. A little sedime...

What would make you feel a repair had held up long enough to count as a success - just staying dry through regular use, or would you want to see it last for a particular stretch of time?
