Been looking into swapping out my old bathroom taps to cut down on water use. Torn between low-flow models and just adding aerators to the current ones. Anyone tried both? Curious which you prefer and why...

Honestly, aerators are a quick win—cheap, easy to install, and they do cut water use noticeably. Low-flow taps are great too, but unless you're remodeling anyway, aerators might save you some headaches (and cash)...speaking from experience here, haha.
Totally agree with this:

Did the aerator thing myself last summer—cost almost nothing, took maybe 10 mins per faucet, and my water bill dropped noticeably. Low-flow taps are nice, but aerators win on practicality imo.

Yeah, same here. Aerators are underrated imo. I've installed a bunch for clients over the years, and they're always surprised by how much water (and money) they save without losing pressure or comfort. Low-flow taps can be great if you're already renovating, but honestly... if you're just looking for a quick fix that's cheap and effective, aerators are tough to beat.

I've been leaning towards aerators myself, mostly because they're simple and don't mess with the plumbing much. Good to hear others have had decent results... might finally give it a shot this weekend.
