How quickly does a toilet bowl level need to fall before it’s concerning?
How long should water stay at roughly the same level in a toilet bowl between flushes? I’m curious how people distinguish ordinary evaporation over several days from other causes of slow water loss, especially if the toilet is used regularly.
Would it help to note whether the level changes over hours or days, and whether nearby fixtures draining coincide with gurgling or a change in the bowl level? I’d also like to know which simple observations are useful without removing or shifting the toilet. At what point would a plumber’s inspection make sense?
