Half flush never seems to work right—am I missing something?

I’ve noticed the same thing with some of the “eco” toilets—sometimes you end up using more water because you have to flush twice. With the Toto Aquia, did you ever try adjusting the fill valve or tweaking the flapper? I’ve read that sometimes a small adjustment can make a big difference in how effective the half flush is. Curious if anyone’s actually had luck fine-tuning those settings, or if it’s mostly just down to the original design.

Yeah, I’ve messed with the fill valve and flapper a bit on a Toto before. Honestly, it helped a tiny bit, but it still doesn’t feel like a “real” flush unless you use the full one. I think the half flush is just kinda underpowered by design. Maybe it’s fine for just paper, but anything more… nah.
