After months of slow drains and plumbers shaking their heads, I finally got rid of those stubborn tree roots clogging up my sewer line. Feels like a small victory, you know? Curious if anyone else tackled something similar and came out on top.

Had the same issue a couple years back—roots from an old maple invaded the sewer line. Tried root killer first, but that was just a temporary fix. Eventually rented one of those heavy-duty augers and spent an afternoon wrestling with it. Messy job, but cleared things up nicely. Still, I keep an eye on it...trees are persistent, and I wouldn't be surprised if they try again.
