kitchen sink drama: drain cleaner letdown

Bought one of those popular drain cleaners last weekend because my kitchen sink was draining slower than my grandma walks (love you, grandma). Anyway, followed the instructions exactly, waited patiently, and... nothing. Still slow as ever. Kinda feels like I just poured money down the drain - literally, haha. Has anyone else had this happen with these store-bought drain cleaners, or am I just unlucky?

Had pretty similar luck myself a while back. Makes me wonder if some clogs are just too stubborn for that stuff? Ended up having to snake the drain manually... messy, but it finally worked. Maybe yours needs a bit more elbow grease too.
