I get wanting to avoid unnecessary work, but water can be sneaky. I had a tenant ignore a “little” spot in the ceiling once—turned out there was mold in the insulation by the time I got someone to look at it. Dried on the surface, but rotting inside. Waiting can work if you’re 100% sure it’s minor, but I’ve learned the hard way that sometimes what you don’t see costs way more down the line. Not every contractor is upselling, sometimes they’re just trying to save you a bigger headache later.
