I’ve seen tenants try to run USB power under the sink and it always ends up with some kind of moisture issue—either corrosion on the cable or, worst case, a short. Has anyone actually found a waterproof power solution that holds up long-term? Also, on the sensor sensitivity, I’ve noticed cheaper models tend to have way less shielding. Wonder if anyone’s tried adding a physical barrier or foil to “focus” the sensor?

Has anyone tried those hybrid taps with both manual and sensor modes? Wondering if that’s worth the extra cost or just another thing to break down.
