Totally agree, drain snakes are a lifesaver. First time I used one, pulled out something that looked like a creature from the deep... still gives me nightmares. Plungers can't compete with that kind of power.
Drain snakes definitely have their moments, but honestly, plungers still deserve some credit. For minor clogs or quick fixes, plungers are safer and way less messy. I mean, pulling out those nightmare-inducing hair monsters can't be good for your sanity—or stomach. Plus, drain snakes can damage older pipes if you're not careful... something budget-conscious folks like me always worry about. I'd rather stick with the plunger first and save the heavy artillery for when it's really needed.
