Funny, I've had the opposite experience. Switched to a low-flow head about six months ago, and weirdly enough, it's been way less hassle. Maybe my water's secretly softer...or I'm just lucky?

Totally agree, drain snakes are a lifesaver. First time I used one, pulled out something that looked like a creature from the deep... still gives me nightmares. Plungers can't compete with that kind of power.
