I've got a small crack in my bathtub, and I'm torn between trying one of those DIY repair kits from the hardware store or just calling a pro. Anyone tried both? Curious which worked better long-term.

I've tried both routes over the years, and honestly, it depends on how picky you are about appearance and durability. DIY kits can work surprisingly well for small cracksβI patched one up in a rental unit about three years ago, and it's still holding fine. But if you're particular about aesthetics or worried about water damage long-term, a pro job usually looks cleaner and lasts longer. How big is the crack exactly? If it's tiny, DIY might be worth a shot first...
