I've got a small crack in my bathtub, and I'm torn between trying one of those DIY repair kits from the hardware store or just calling a pro. Anyone tried both? Curious which worked better long-term.

I've tried both routes over the years, and honestly, it depends on how picky you are about appearance and durability. DIY kits can work surprisingly well for small cracksβ€”I patched one up in a rental unit about three years ago, and it's still holding fine. But if you're particular about aesthetics or worried about water damage long-term, a pro job usually looks cleaner and lasts longer. How big is the crack exactly? If it's tiny, DIY might be worth a shot first...
