RE: Shower temperature drifts over time
If the change is confined to the shower, I’d lean somewhat more toward a local cartridge or mixing-valve issue than a broad supply shift, but not strongly enough to call it diagnosed. A pressure change on the branch feed...
RE: What would you do if your septic tank alarm went off while you’re on vacation?
Man, I hear you on the “too much info” thing - sometimes I feel like my phone’s just itching to ruin my day with another false alarm. Had a sump pump sensor once that freaked out over condensation, and I nearly called in...
RE: Why do faucet handles turn opposite ways?
I get what you’re saying about the seat chewing up washers, but sometimes I wonder if it’s just the cheap washers themselves. I’ve had a few supposedly “premium” ones that still turned to mush in weeks, even with a decen...

RE: toilet disaster strikes again... help needed asap
I've had mixed results with self-leveling compound around toilets, honestly. Tried it once on a small bathroom remodel thinking it'd save me some headache, but ended up spending twice as long cleaning up the overflow and...
RE: do you pay attention to water-saving rules when fixing stuff at home?
Did you notice any difference in temperature consistency? I swapped mine out a while back, and while the water savings were great, I swear it took twice as long to get hot water... or maybe that's just my ancient plumbin...
