RE: Restaurant kitchen shut down after messy plumbing fiasco - thoughts?
- Grease in the drain is like kryptonite for pipes. I’ve seen more blockages from “just a little bit” than I care to count. - Enzyme treatments? They’re not total snake oil, but they’re not magic either. They help with m...
RE: Choosing between in-kitchen and underground grease traps - what would you do?
Fair point, but I’ll take the underground trap any day if there’s space. Here’s why: - Less smell in the kitchen - your staff will thank you. - Bigger capacity, so you’re not scooping out sludge every other day. - Roots...
RE: Need some advice on choosing new plumbing fixtures
Chrome’s definitely the workhorse. I’ve seen folks baby those matte black and brushed gold finishes, and honestly, it’s just not worth the stress unless you love cleaning. Had a customer once who taped “DO NOT SCRUB” sig...

RE: WHAT IF YOUR PIPES STARTED TALKING BACK?
Gotta disagree slightly here - enzyme cleaners aren't just preventative. I've seen them clear some pretty gnarly grease clogs, but patience is key. If your pipes could talk, they'd probably say "give it time, buddy... mi...
RE: anyone tried sustainable plumbing upgrades at home?
- Totally agree on aerating showerheads - got one myself, and honestly, it's the best "lazy upgrade" ever. - Greywater systems can indeed get messy with codes. Seen some DIY attempts go sideways... let's just say inspe...
