RE: Plumbing tips that change with the seasons
Funny you mention the dehumidifier trick - I’ve done the same thing in a couple of my older rentals, especially after a tenant “forgot” to report a slow leak for, oh, six months. You’d be amazed how much moisture can hid...
RE: Handy shortcuts for finding plumbing info quick
I hear you on the packaging - some of those “instructions” feel like they were written by someone who’s never touched a wrench. I’ve had more luck with old plumbing manuals than whatever’s printed on a baggie from the ha...
RE: Burst pipe panic: what would you do?

RE: do you pay attention to water-saving rules when fixing stuff at home?
Interesting perspective on the low-flow fixtures. I've used them in some of my properties too, and while they definitely help with water bills, the tenant feedback hasn't always been glowing. I once swapped out showerhea...
RE: are water-saving toilets really worth the hype?
Couldn't agree more - I've seen tenants swap in low-flow toilets hoping it'd solve drainage issues, only to find out later the real culprit was corroded cast iron pipes. Fix the pipes first, then upgrade fixtures...trust...
