RE: Plumbing products that actually help the planet (who knew?)
I’d put broad, even coverage first. A very strong pressure feel is nice, but if a lower-flow head leaves parts of you out of the spray, it’s harder to imagine using it comfortably day after day.

Water-saving faucet aerators are another small upgrade: flow-restricting models mix air into the stream to use less water while keeping everyday handwashing practical. They’re easy to overlook because they sit right at t...
RE: Why does my bathroom always smell like a pool?
Funny you mention filters - I went down a rabbit hole with those a while back. Ended up with one of those faucet-mounted ones, and it actually made a difference, at least for the taste. For the smell, I found running the...

Silicone jet showerheads are supposed to be easier - just rub the nozzles and the gunk comes off, in theory. In practice, I’ve found hard water still clogs them up eventually, and sometimes you have to poke at each nozzl...
RE: Why do faucet handles turn opposite ways?
Had the same thing in my last place, except both handles turned inwards to turn on - totally threw me off for weeks. I actually looked up why, and apparently, older plumbing standards weren’t always consistent. If you ev...
