Honestly, SharkBites are decent, but extreme cold? I dunno...had one pop off in my unheated garage during a nasty cold snap last year. Maybe stick with soldered joints if you're worried about freezing temps? Just my two ...

Haha, been there! Why do DIY instructions always skip the "prepare for minor flooding" step? Did you at least manage to reuse towels or something eco-friendly for cleanup?
