"Definitely research trapway designs carefully before buying."

Yeah, trapway design makes a bigger difference than most people realize. I've installed a few low-flow toilets that looked great on paper but ended up clogging way too often because of narrow or poorly shaped trapways. Mid-range models usually hit that sweet spot, but honestly, sometimes it's just trial and error. Has anyone found a particular brand or model that's consistently reliable with water-saving features?

Installed a couple of those high-end water-savers last year, and honestly, wasn't too impressed. Ended up swapping one out for a mid-range Kohler—way fewer clogs and still decent water savings. Sometimes simpler designs just work better in practice...

Yeah, I've been wondering about this too. I installed one of those fancy dual-flush models a while back, and honestly, it feels like I'm flushing twice half the time anyway... kinda defeats the purpose, right? Maybe it's just me, but sometimes the simpler tech just seems more reliable. Curious if anyone's found a sweet spot between saving water and actually getting the job done without hassle.

You're definitely not alone—seen this plenty of times. Dual-flush can be great, but they're picky about installation and water pressure. Sometimes a quick tweak to the fill valve or adjusting the flush buttons can help... or just embrace the trusty single-flush again, haha.

Had the same issue when I first installed mine—thought I'd messed something up. Turns out adjusting the flush buttons slightly made a noticeable difference. Worth giving it a shot before you ditch it completely... might save you some hassle (and water).
