Had something similar happen a couple months back—pressure dropped outta nowhere, and I was ready to tear apart half the plumbing. Turns out the neighbor two houses down had a busted sprinkler line flooding their yard. Took me way too long to figure that one out. Ever had issues with neighbors' plumbing mishaps affecting your own water pressure? Seems like it's always something random like that...

Had a similar issue last year. Water pressure dropped significantly, and after checking all my internal plumbing (twice...), I finally called the city. Turns out a neighbor down the street had a broken main line. It's always wise to rule out external issues first—saves you from unnecessary work and potential safety hazards. I'd recommend contacting your local utility provider if something feels off before diving into DIY fixes. Better safe than sorry, especially with plumbing issues.

Good advice overall, but I'd add one quick step before calling the city—check your main shut-off valve. Sounds silly, but you'd be surprised how many times I've seen it partially closed by accident (kids playing around or someone bumping it moving boxes...). Also, if you have a pressure regulator installed, those things can fail too. It takes just a minute to glance at these things and could save you from an embarrassing phone call...trust me, been there myself.

Solid points there, especially about the shut-off valve. Had a similar issue last year—spent an entire weekend troubleshooting low pressure, only to find out my regulator was shot. Felt pretty silly afterward, haha. Quick checks like these really do save headaches down the road. Definitely worth the extra minute or two before getting the city involved. Good call mentioning it.

Good reminder about checking the regulator first, but honestly, sometimes it's quicker to rule out city-side issues early on. Had a situation once where I spent hours troubleshooting everything inside my house—valves, regulators, pipes—only to find out the city had maintenance going on down the block. A quick call would've saved me a ton of hassle. So yeah, quick checks are great, but don't hesitate too long before giving the city a ring... might save you some frustration.
