Saw this news bit yesterday about cities tweaking their water systems to save resources, and it got me thinking... my shower pressure has been pretty weak lately, dunno if it's related or just my plumbing being old. Anyone else noticing changes at home?

Yeah, I've noticed something similar at home. At first I thought it was the city messing with the water pressure too, but then I remembered I'd installed one of those water-saving showerheads last year. Thought it was a good deal at the time - save money, save water - but honestly, showers haven't felt the same since. Might be worth checking if you have one of those low-flow heads... could be the culprit rather than city-wide changes.

Yeah, low-flow heads can definitely kill your shower experience. Another thing to check is if your showerhead has built-up mineral deposits - especially common if you've got hard water. I had a tenant complaining about weak pressure once, and after soaking the head in vinegar overnight, it was like night and day. Might be worth a shot before assuming it's a bigger plumbing issue...

Good tip about soaking in vinegar, worked wonders for me too. But if that doesn't do the trick, have you tried checking your water heater? Mine had sediment buildup at the bottom and flushing it out boosted pressure noticeably. Could be worth looking into...
