I've had my bidet for about six months now, and while I love the thing (seriously life-changing lol), I'm noticing it's kinda annoying to keep clean. Like, water spots, buildup, and stuff... anyone else finding this a bit of a chore?
"I'm noticing it's kinda annoying to keep clean. Like, water spots, buildup, and stuff..."
Yeah, I've noticed the same thing with mine. I've had it about a year now, and while I appreciate the water savings and reduced paper waste, the mineral buildup is definitely a hassle. Have you tried using vinegar or citric acid solutions? I find soaking the nozzle occasionally helps, but honestly, it's still more maintenance than I initially expected...
I've had mine for about six months now, and yeah, the buildup is definitely a thing. I tried vinegar once, and it did help a bit, but honestly, I wasn't thrilled with the smell lingering around afterward. Maybe I didn't rinse it enough or something, but it was kinda off-putting for a day or two.
One thing I've found helpful is wiping down the nozzle and seat area with a microfiber cloth after each cleaning. It seems to keep the water spots from getting too noticeable. But still, it's not exactly the low-maintenance bathroom upgrade I imagined when I bought it, haha.
I wonder if the water hardness in different areas makes a big difference? My friend lives in another city and swears she never has buildup issues with hers. She barely cleans it and says it looks brand new. Meanwhile, I'm over here scrubbing away every weekend just to keep it looking decent...
Has anyone tried installing one of those inline water filters to reduce mineral deposits? I've been thinking about giving that a shot, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle or expense.
