Quick poll time—do you prefer your bidet water pressure on the gentle side, or do you crank it up for that pressure-washer effect? I keep mine low, but my partner swears by the turbo setting. Curious how everyone else rolls…

I tend to keep the pressure on the lower side, too. From a technical standpoint, most bidets are designed to be effective at moderate settings—cranking it up too high can actually cause discomfort or even minor irritation for some folks. That said, I’ve seen plenty of people who swear by the higher settings, especially if they’re after that “super clean” feeling. It’s really about personal preference and, honestly, a bit of trial and error. Just make sure the seals and fittings are tight if you’re running it at max... those leaks can sneak up on you.

That’s the truth—had a tiny leak under my tank once and didn’t notice until it started warping the floor. I’m with you on keeping the pressure lower. I get the appeal of a power wash, but honestly, moderate does the trick and feels way less risky for both me and my bathroom. Trial and error’s the way to go, but I’d rather not risk a plumbing mishap just for that “super clean” feeling.

I learned the hard way that “max” isn’t always better—cranked mine up once and ended up with a surprise cold shower and a soaked rug. Now I stick to a middle setting. Feels safer for both my plumbing and my dignity.

I’ve definitely noticed that the “max” setting isn’t just a risk for your dignity—if your plumbing’s older or the fittings aren’t tight, you can end up with leaks or even a loose hose. I usually start on the lowest setting, then nudge it up until it’s effective but not blasting. If anyone’s curious, adjusting the angle of the nozzle can make a bigger difference than just cranking the pressure. Learned that after a few trial-and-error sessions… and a couple towels.
