Okay, so yesterday was a total nightmare. My toilet decided it was the perfect time to overflow, and I was panicking because water was legit about to spill everywhere. Grabbed this weird accordion-style plunger thingy my roommate bought a while back (thought it looked goofy at first tbh) but omg it worked like magic. Like two plunges and crisis averted. Has anyone else tried these accordion plungers? Are they always this good or did I just luck out somehow?
- Had a similar experience last month—my toilet decided to overflow at like 2 AM, and I was half-asleep trying to deal with it. Not fun.
- Anyway, I grabbed one of those accordion plungers too (my dad randomly bought it when he visited, said it was "better than the old-school ones"). Honestly thought he was exaggerating, but turns out he wasn't totally wrong.
- It worked pretty well for me too, but I did notice you gotta get a good seal around the drain or else it's kinda useless. Took me a couple tries to figure that out.
- Still curious though...are these accordion plungers actually better overall, or is it just luck and timing? I've heard mixed things from friends—some swear by them, others say they're gimmicky. Maybe depends on the clog type or something?
