Okay, picture this: it's pouring rain outside, you're chilling at home, and suddenly you hear that dreaded sound of water trickling downstairs. You rush down and yep, basement's starting to flood. You check the sump pump and it's just sitting there silent, like it's decided to take a day off or something. Um...hypothetically speaking (totally not based on last weekend's fiasco), what's your first move in this kinda situation?
