Okay, so I'm standing in Home Depot yesterday staring at showerheads for like 20 minutes straight (I'm sure the employees thought I was lost or something, lol). Anyway, I'm stuck between going for one of those fancy rainfall showerheads that make you feel like you're standing under a tropical waterfall or whatever, and a handheld one that's practical and easy to maneuver.
I've never had the rainfall type before, but they seem super relaxing. On the other hand, handheld seems way easier when cleaning the shower walls or washing pets (my dog hates baths, gotta make it quick!). But do rainfall ones have decent pressure or is it more of a gentle drizzle situation?
I'm kinda leaning towards the handheld because of practicality but don't wanna miss out on that luxurious spa-like feel from the rainfall. Curious which one you guys prefer and why... any advice appreciated!
"But do rainfall ones have decent pressure or is it more of a gentle drizzle situation?"
I've put rainfall showerheads in a couple of my rental units, and honestly, they're more "gentle drizzle" than powerful spray. Don't get me wrong, they're relaxing as heck after a long day, but if you're looking for something to blast shampoo out of thick hair or quickly rinse off a squirmy dog, they're probably not your best bet.
Funny storyβI installed one in my own bathroom thinking I'd get that luxurious spa feel every morning. Fast forward two months, and I'm back at Home Depot buying a handheld attachment because cleaning the shower walls turned into an Olympic gymnastics event. Now I have both, which is great, but not exactly budget-friendly.
If practicality matters more to you (especially with pets involved), I'd go handheld. You can always upgrade later or look into those combo setups if you still crave the tropical waterfall experience. Just my two cents...
