What should a septic tank replacement quote itemize?
Which parts of a septic tank replacement estimate do you expect to see priced separately? I’d want to distinguish the tank itself from excavation, removal and disposal of the old tank, and reconnecting the system, rather than comparing a bare tank price with an all-in quote.
How do contractors usually show permit and inspection fees, plus backfill and site restoration? Soil conditions or limited access could change the work, but I wouldn’t want a quote to imply those are known problems before the site is assessed. What wording or allowances make those possible changes clear without making the estimates impossible to compare?
