Making sure your home’s pipes are up to code—how I do it

Yeah, I’ve had the same issue with inspectors nitpicking every little thing, especially around the furnace and water heater. It’s wild how one wrong can of foam can set you back a whole afternoon. I get what you mean about mice too—those little guys will chew through just about anything if they want in bad enough. I’ve started using steel wool mixed with caulk in some spots, just for peace of mind. Not perfect, but it’s held up so far. You’re right though, anything’s better than leaving gaps.
