Finally got around to installing a rain barrel system in my backyard last spring, and honestly, it's been pretty great. Took a bit of trial and error (and a few soaked shoes, lol), but now I've got it watering my garden beds and even hooked up to flush the downstairs toilet. Feels good saving water and seeing a drop in the water bill too. Curious if anyone else has tried something similar and how it's working out for you?

I've been thinking about doing something similar—did you have to install any special filters or pumps for the toilet hookup? Slightly worried about debris or sediment causing issues... plumbing isn't exactly my strong suit, haha.
