Compression fittings definitely have their quirks. Had a similar issue last yearβthought I'd tightened it "just right," but woke up to a small puddle under the sink. Turns out, I'd overtightened and warped the olive slightly. Learned my lesson: snug is good enough, no need to crank it down hard. Push-fits are quicker, but once you get the hang of compression fittings, they're pretty reliable...just gotta find that sweet spot.
