Flashlights and mirrors definitely help, but honestly, nothing beats having a couple of good-quality adjustable wrenches handy. Can't tell you how many times I've tried tightening fittings with pliers only to round them off and make things worse. Learned that lesson the hard way... twice. Also, anyone else find those flexible plumbing hoses a lifesaver when dealing with tight spaces? Curious if people prefer them or stick to traditional rigid pipes.

Just dealt with this exact issue last weekend. Tried tightening the fittings with pliers firstβ€”big mistake. Rounded off the nut and ended up making a quick trip to the hardware store for replacements. Switched to an adjustable wrench after that, and it was way easier. About those flexible hoses... yeah, they're pretty handy. My sink cabinet is cramped as hell, and swapping out the rigid pipes for flexible ones saved me a ton of frustration. Not sure if they're as durable long-term, but honestly, I'll take convenience over wrestling with rigid pipes any day.

Been there myselfβ€”rounded nuts are the worst. Adjustable wrench is definitely the way to go, gives you way better grip and control. I've had flexible hoses under my sink for about three years now, no issues yet. They're a lifesaver in tight spaces, but I do keep an eye on them every now and then just in case... Good call making the switch.

I've had flex hoses under mine for about five years, no leaks yet. But honestly, I wonder if they're really built to last long-term... anyone had one fail on them yet?

Mine lasted about 7 years before one decided to spring a leak at 2 AMβ€”because plumbing never fails at a convenient time, right? 😂 Honestly though, I think they're pretty reliable overall, but I wouldn't trust them forever. Now I just make it a habit to peek under there every few months... beats waking up to a surprise indoor swimming pool.
