Every few months my kitchen sink decides to give me trouble, usually it's either slow draining or leaking underneath. Drives me nuts. Usually, if it's draining slow, I start by boiling a kettle of water and pouring it down the drain, followed by half a cup of baking soda and then vinegar. You know, the classic fizzing volcano experiment from grade school, haha. I let that sit for like 15 minutes, then flush again with hot water. Most times, it clears things up.
If it's leaking, I check under the sink first, tighten all the connections by hand, and put a bucket under there just in case. If that doesn't fix it, I unscrew the pipe joints, clean them out (gross but effective), and put everything back together with some plumber's tape. Usually does the trick, but sometimes it's still stubborn.
Curious if anyone has an easier or quicker way to deal with these sink dramas?
