How much did you pay to fix your fridge's ice maker?
Man, I hear you on the “cheap parts = expensive headaches” thing. Years ago, I tried to save a few bucks with a bargain water line for my old fridge. Spent maybe $40 on decent parts, took my time, and—knock on wood—it’s been working fine for two years now.
