- Couldn’t have said it better about the filters—seen way too many folks try to save a buck and end up with a science experiment in their pipes.
- Maintenance isn’t glamorous, but neither is a bathroom that smells like a swamp.
- Honestly, a little effort now saves a ton of headaches (and nose-holding) later.
- I’ve had to fish out things from greywater tanks that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy... trust me, regular checks are worth it.

Honestly, I get the whole “maintenance is key” thing, but sometimes it feels like these systems are more trouble than they’re worth. If you’re not super on top of it, stuff gets gross fast. Not sure everyone’s gonna keep up with all those checks.

I get where you're coming from, but honestly, a lot of the issues with these setups come down to how they're installed and used. If the system's designed right and folks get a basic rundown, it's not as high-maintenance as it seems. Sure, you can't just ignore it, but regular plumbing needs attention too—I've seen standard toilets in worse shape than some rainwater ones. It's really about staying ahead of problems instead of waiting for something to break or smell.
