Instruction cards sound helpful in theory, but honestly, in a panic situation, who's gonna stop and read instructions? I've seen people freeze up even with clearly labeled valves right in front of them. Leak detectors aren't perfect, sure, but pairing them with an automatic shut-off valve might be more practical. At least then you're covered even if nobody's home or thinking straight... just my two cents.

Good points there, automatic shut-offs definitely add peace of mind. I've installed plenty, and they've saved homeowners from some nasty surprises. But do you think the upfront cost and occasional false triggers might put people off from investing in them?
