Woke up this morning to the weirdest dream...only it wasn't a dream. My feet hit cold water instead of carpet, and I'm standing there half-asleep thinking, "Did I leave the bathtub running?" Nope. Turns out, overnight storm turned our street into a mini lake, and my living room into a kiddie pool. Um, yikes.
Anyway, spent the entire day salvaging what I could and figuring out how to dry out the place. Managed to rescue my laptop (thank goodness), but the couch is definitely gonna need some TLC or maybe a dumpster. While I was wading around, it got me thinking—what if this had been worse? Like, what if the water kept rising, or if I hadn't woken up in time?
So here's a thought: imagine you wake up to find your entire neighborhood underwater. Phones are down, roads blocked, and you're stuck at home. What would you do first, and how would you handle things from there?
