Okay, so I'm finally getting around to updating my kitchen (yay me, only took like forever lol), and I'm stuck on the faucet. I've narrowed it down to Moen and Delta, mostly because they're both pretty popular and seem reliable enough. But honestly, the more I read reviews, the more confused I get. Some people swear by Moen's durability and customer service, others say Delta has better tech and easier installs.

I was leaning toward Moen because my parents had one in their kitchen forever and it never leaked or anything, but then I saw Delta has some cool touchless options that look tempting. I mean, who doesn't want to wave their hand and magically get water, right? But then again, is that just a gimmick that'll break in a year?

Anyway, if you've had either of these brands, can you tell me which you prefer and why? Like, is there really a noticeable difference in quality or is it all just marketing hype?

I've installed and repaired plenty of both Moen and Delta faucets, and honestly, they're both solid choices. Here's how I'd break it down:

Moen is usually the go-to if you're after simple reliability. They're built sturdy, parts are easy to find, and their customer service really is top-notch. Your parents' experience isn't a fluke—I've seen Moens last decades without issues.

Delta, on the other hand, tends to have more innovative features. Their touchless tech isn't just a gimmick; it's actually pretty useful when your hands are messy from cooking or cleaning. The only catch is that more tech means more potential points of failure. I've had a couple calls for Delta touchless sensors acting up after a few years—but nothing too serious or frequent.

If you want straightforward durability with minimal fuss, stick with Moen. But if you're excited about the convenience factor and don't mind the slight risk of occasional sensor hiccups, Delta's touchless faucets are genuinely handy and reliable enough to recommend.

Either way, you're not making a bad choice here... just depends what matters more to you.

Had a funny experience with Delta's touchless once... installed one for a customer who loved cooking. A week later, got a frantic call—her cat had figured out the sensor and turned the faucet into his personal waterpark. 😅 Switched off the sensor temporarily and she still kept it because, aside from mischievous pets, it worked great. Moen's simpler, but Delta definitely has its perks if you're ready for a bit of tech adventure.
