Plastic wrap can work temporarily, sure...but honestly, swapping out the showerhead or replacing the washer inside usually fixes that spraying issue pretty quick. Takes maybe 10 minutes tops and saves you from future headaches. Worth a shot if you're up for it.

Haha, plastic wrap? That's some MacGyver-level plumbing right there. But seriously, I agree—usually it's just a worn-out washer or some mineral buildup causing the chaos. If you're feeling adventurous, grab a wrench, unscrew the showerhead, and soak it in vinegar for an hour or two. Worked wonders for my shower when it decided to impersonate a lawn sprinkler. Plus, it's oddly satisfying seeing all that gunk dissolve away...just saying.

Haha, been there myself—first-time homeowner here, and plumbing mishaps seem to be a rite of passage. Vinegar trick definitely helps, but just a heads-up from experience:

- Check the rubber washer carefully; even tiny cracks can cause chaos.
- If vinegar doesn't cut it, CLR is a solid backup for stubborn mineral deposits.
- Don't overtighten when reinstalling—learned that the hard way (cracked showerhead, anyone?).

Good luck, sounds like you're on the right track already...

Agreed on the washer—tiny cracks are sneaky. Also, sometimes the shower arm threads get worn or corroded, causing leaks no matter how careful you are. A wrap or two of fresh plumber's tape usually sorts it out...saved me more than once.

Yep, plumber's tape is a lifesaver for sure. I'd just add—double-check the shower arm itself for corrosion or rust. Had one snap clean off once mid-shower...not fun, trust me. Better safe than soaked.
