Yeah, showerheads can definitely be tricky... ever checked the threading on the arm itself? Had one once where tiny corrosion inside the threads caused weird spray patterns—drove me nuts until I spotted it. Might be worth a quick look.

Good point about the threading—I’ve had a few of those myself. But honestly, nine times out of ten, I've found rogue spraying issues come down to mineral buildup clogging the nozzles. You'd be amazed at how quickly deposits can mess up your shower's aim. Quick tip: soak the head overnight in vinegar and water; works wonders and saves you from buying a replacement prematurely. Plus, your bathroom won't look like a waterpark anymore...unless that's your thing?

Can confirm this vinegar trick actually saved me a headache recently. As a first-time homeowner, I've been diving into all sorts of DIY fixes (sometimes successfully, sometimes not so much...), and showerheads were one of my first battles. Initially thought mine had some internal damage because the spray was seriously all over the place, but after a vinegar soak overnight, it was back to normal.

One thing I'd add—make sure you rinse it thoroughly after soaking. I skipped that step the first time and my shower smelled like salad dressing for two days afterward. Lesson learned.

Anyway, good call on the mineral buildup diagnosis. Definitely beats shelling out for a replacement right away, especially when you're already juggling other home maintenance costs.

Good point on rinsing afterward—I learned that one the hard way too, haha.

Speaking of DIY fixes, anyone tried this vinegar trick on faucet aerators? Wondering if it's just as effective or if there's anything different to watch out for...

I've done the vinegar soak on faucet aerators a few times—works pretty well, but heads up if you've got older faucets. Once had an ancient one where the vinegar loosened up some hidden corrosion, and it started dripping afterward... anyone else run into that issue?
