"Sometimes tenants adjust the head angle repeatedly, and over time the connection loosens just enough to send water spraying everywhere but straight down."

Yep, seen that happen a few times myself. Also worth checking the washer inside the connection—those little rubber seals can degrade quietly and suddenly you've got a mini waterpark going on. Better safe than sorry...water damage is no joke.

Agreed, washers are often overlooked. Another thing to consider is mineral buildup—have you checked if there's any limescale clogging the showerhead openings? Sometimes that alone can cause erratic spray patterns...just something else to keep in mind.

Hmm, limescale can be a culprit, but honestly, sometimes showerheads just decide to rebel after a while—no matter how much you pamper them. Mine went rogue even after soaking in vinegar overnight... ended up just replacing it. Problem solved, sanity restored.

Interesting, I've had similar issues despite regular vinegar treatments. Before replacing entirely, have you considered dismantling the showerhead to inspect the internal filter or gasket? Sometimes debris or mineral buildup hides deeper inside, beyond what a simple soak can reach. I found that carefully cleaning these internal components extended my showerhead's lifespan significantly—worth a try if you're aiming to reduce waste and save money.

Yeah, vinegar soaks aren't always the magic bullet people think they are. I've had better luck actually taking the showerhead apart and checking the little mesh filter inside—sometimes tiny bits of grit or hardened minerals get lodged in there, causing the spray to go wild. A quick scrub with an old toothbrush often sorts it out. Worth a shot before tossing it completely... unless you're just fed up and ready for something new.
