Finger-tight is the way to go—learned that after snapping a cheap plastic connector once. I’ve noticed some shower heads are way more prone to clogging than others, even with filters. Has anyone tried those silicone nozzle ones? Supposedly you just rub them and the gunk falls out, but I’m not sure if they actually help with hard water or just make cleaning easier.
I’ve installed a few of those silicone nozzle heads in rentals—honestly, they’re a step up for cleaning. You just swipe your hand over them and most buildup pops right off. They don’t actually prevent hard water deposits, though. Have you checked if your water pressure’s contributing to the spray issue? Sometimes it’s not just the head itself, but the pressure making things worse.
