Drain keeps backing up—my quick fix routine

I swear my drains have a personal vendetta against me, lol. Every few months they start slowing down, and I've kinda developed a routine: first I pour boiling water down, then baking soda and vinegar (the fizz is oddly satisfying, you know?), wait about 15 mins, then flush again with hot water. Usually works pretty well, but I'm wondering if there's something better or easier out there. What do you guys usually do?

Good point on the slope and venting—I’ve seen similar issues before. Another sneaky culprit can be tree roots creeping into older pipes, especially if your place has mature trees nearby. Ever had your lines scoped for root intrusion?
