Okay, so my kitchen sink drain keeps clogging up every few weeks. I've tried the usual store-bought drain cleaners, but they only seem to help temporarily. I'm thinking maybe I'm missing something obvious here...anyone got some good DIY tips or home remedies that actually work?

Yeah, those chemical cleaners are usually just a quick fix. Have you tried the baking soda and vinegar trick yet? Pour about half a cup of baking soda down the drain, follow it with a cup of vinegar, let it fizz for 15-20 mins, then flush with hot water. Works surprisingly well and it's cheap too. Also, might wanna check your trap under the sink—sometimes gunk builds up there and needs manual cleaning.
