I hear you on snapping those cheap hair snakes—they’re handy until they’re not. I’ve had better luck with a $10 plastic one that’s a bit sturdier, but yeah, nothing’s foolproof. Ever tried just unscrewing the stopper and pulling out the gunk by hand? It’s gross, but sometimes it saves a lot of hassle and cash. I’m always wary of boiling water with PVC too... don’t want to risk warping pipes just to clear a clog.
