Water left in the dishwasher sump after cleaning the filter
A little water sitting down in the sump may not mean the dishwasher has a drain problem, but water spread across the tub floor seems like a different concern. How do you tell when routine filter cleaning is enough and when it’s time to look beyond the filter?
I’d start by checking whether the model’s manual describes a removable filter and how it should be cleaned. If water remains afterward, does recurring debris or an unusual pump noise help distinguish a blockage from a pump issue, or is that a point to call for service rather than trying to access the pump?
